The first full day with Tom and Tamara is almost over. It was total chaos again….
Breakfast this morning was fairly simple because Tamara had a list of what she wanted. She walked back up the hill.
Tom was much more chaotic. He had to have a tuxedo jacket, pants and a shirt. We succeeded very well, although he had to take out a loan.
Lisa is now back with good news about her aunt. She recovers nicely but whether she will be at Farrah’s wedding is very doubtful
Lisa and I drove Niels’ parents around the peninsula here on Monday and had a very nice morning where of course we talked about our children. Peter Rogge will talk about lunch to his son because you can eat so well for so little…..
Upon returning around 3 o’clock in the afternoon there was a considerable consternation because two wedding guests turned out not to have a suit and had put it down at Farrah & Niels. Tom had immediately indicated that we were going to solve this with the result that he and I searched for, found, bought and delivered two suits that evening. Just put all the emotion aside and acted in the interest of our daughter and her husband, but of course we were completely pissed off.
Later in the evening, brother-in-law Michael came by with his wife Vanessa. Very nice to speak to him again and see him after 4 years.
Tuesday was a day of rest for me. I notice that my heels get quite irritated by wearing sandals and that I therefore have to put on normal shoes with socks. Oh well, they are inconveniences…
Today, Wednesday, was the wedding couple’s first celebration. A cocktail party was held at The Bay hotel in Camps Bay between 3pm and 10pm. We drove there with the camper and parked it at the hotel. The party was fun with many acquaintances from both sides and countries. Music was played (too loud) and danced (very nice). We left at 9 o’ clock. Tom stayed behind for a while to arrange transport home for everyone. Well done Tom.
