We have just arrived in Alphen aan den Rijn after a drive of about 680 km, entirely on highways and even via (the suburbs of) Paris (which I think is a terrible city). The trip was otherwise very prosperous and little worth mentioning except that the weather was bad and extremely busy. The road to Antwerp (from the Netherlands) was completely blocked and it was also busy further north. We cleared the car out a bit and connected it to electricity. We‘ll do some further cleaning up tomorrow. Next week I have the camper washed at a company that specializes in this (located in Alphen) and on Thursday 4 May it must be inspected for leaks at the seller. I think I‘ll store it on Friday. We have driven 6104 km this holiday and that is quite a bit.
As usual, we were very annoyed with each other again and the arguing went fine. For example, I marvel at Lisa‘s ability to give me directions at the campsite regarding parking. If I were to listen to that……
But we had a lot of fun and experienced very beautiful things. The plan is to leave for Africa in September for 3 months and I am in the process of convincing Lisa to go to Sweden in July. Whether this will succeed….
