Nice and quiet yesterday and the same goes for today. We do nothing….. Some pictures of our sleeping spot and the hike we made this morning to a nearby fishing village. We have met here an Australian couple sailing the world with a sailboat, in 8 years. Their boat is now in Dar es Salaam where they take a few months rest before sailing around the Cape of Good Hope. The best time to do that is in February so they use this period to travel around in Africa. Great adventures they have experienced! They are impressed with our bush camper.
The owner of the lodge here, a South African, also had wonderful stories about guests who made it in their kayak to the wrong lodge. It turned out to be owned by the president of Malawi so he had to pull a lot of strings to get them free.
The battery problem is solved because the fridge works for 2 days now without recharging.
Tomorrow we will do a small excursion to Cape McClear around here. We are also talking a lot about how we want to travel further because we have to make a decision whether we go North (Tanzania) or West (Zambia). Such a thing takes some time and we take it. In any case, we want to be in South Africa at the end of January to spend some time with the family. In The coming days we will present our plans!
