It is clear that my holiday has affected my computing capacities. My uncle Dick is now 72 and not 70. Sorry uncle!
I read all the comments on my blog. For me, a huge eye opener is, that people see me very differently now and that shows just how little someone is aware of himself. Tonight I thpught about how I look at my family members and friends.
I find Tamara the bravest and most trustworthy person on this earth with a tremendous sense of responsibility. It will bring her far.
Tom has a keen understanding of people and is able, if it interests him, to quickly acquire knowledge of things which he associates with an pleasant personality. With this he can meet the world.
Farrah is one who lives from and for entering into relationships with people, giving each one the feeling of being important to her, and this also sincerely means and acts to it. These are for true nice features.
Now I know my children well and I know that they do not see much of what I write above about them, in fact, they deny them.
Lisa, my mother-in-law and I had a long conversation yesterday about her family and the problems playing there (sickness, old age, housing). We talked a long time about the role that Lisa should play in these matters. For my mother-in-law and myself, that role and the associated tasks is clearly that she, as the eldest, has to take the lead and that she is undoubtedly fit for it. Lisa saw her leadership tasks and abilities, to our surprise, very different.
It is curious that the outside world has a whole different opinion huh?
For us, the stay in Cape Town/Hout Bay will come to an end. It did not run quite as we had in mind, but that is what it is. Tomorrow we drive to Dysselsdorp; Tamara spends the last days with her nieces in Kleinvlei; Farrah/Niels and Luna go to a hotel and Tom is still trying to arrange a sleeping spot with cousin Angus. Today we get another family visit and I will post the photos soon
En dan heb je ‘t vakantiehuis weer voor jezelf 😉
Ach, daar hebben we allemaal wel ‘last’ van, toch blijkt dat anders bekijken door ‘derden’ niet per definitie onwaar te zijn…
Hou je haaks!
